Counter Terrorist and Law Enforcement Specialty Training
F.I.G.H.T. Self-Defense Seminar Series
It is not necessary to attend a seminar to develop solid self defense skills.
However, seminars are available to you if you decide you want to go to
the highest levels of capability in Haganah. Currently, all seminars
are personally taught by Mike Lee Kanarek at the Davie, Florida National Training Center, located just west of Fort Lauderdale, Florida
and will be taught in the future by other Israeli Special Forces
veterans. Seminars are intensive, hands-on and very physical.
Level I Seminar
This intense three day seminar is hands-on and will provide personal
training in the material presented on the F.I.G.H.T. Self Defense
Series of 5 tapes. You will come away with a complete experience and
understanding of the material in the tapes, and you will apply what you
learn in class. It covers:
- all fundamental strikes
- all points of reference
- all objectives
- at least one of each type of street scenario
- gun disarms
- knife defenses
- an introduction to Tactical Knife Fighting
- ... and more
Pre-requisite: Purchase and study of the 5 tape F.I.G.H.T. Self Defense series and manual, Adequate level physical condition

Level II Seminar
This intense three day hands-on seminar goes beyond the Level I Seminar and covers:
- review of Level I
- additional street scenarios
- advanced hand to hand tactics
- additional incapacitating and lethal techniques
- intro to ground survival tactics and techniques
- intermediate Tactical Knife Fighting
- an introduction to Israeli Combat Shooting (dry and live fire)

Pre-requisite: Satisfactory performance in Level I seminar as
determined by IDFS, purchase and study of the Ground Survival Series,
Israeli Tactical Knife and Israeli Combat Shooting DVD/VHS, Adequate
level physical condition

Level III Seminar
This intense 3 day seminar is designed to maximize skills and confidence of experienced Haganah practitioners. It includes:
- review of prior material
- advanced hand-to-hand tactics
- intermediate to advanced ground survival tactics including defending against weapons deployed on the ground and against more experienced grapplers
- advanced Tactical Knife Fighting
- advanced Combat Shooting including live fire kill house drills, pivots. Tactical reloads, shooting from cover and stress drills

Combat Camp
This is reserved for twenty participants who personally interview with
Mike. It is conducted once annually over a four-day period in a variety
of settings including the Florida Everglades and includes live fire
shooting of both handguns and assault-type rifles in stress drills and
hand-to- hand combat drills. One former Israeli Special Forces operator
is present to teach each group of 6 to 8 participants.
Pre-requisite: Satisfactory performance in Level III seminar as
determined by IDFS, Excellent level physical condition, written
